I joined an online forum about a year ago for Muslim to share knowledge and discuss topics.There is a guy who I am impressed by and I am thinking of proposing to him. Sheikh I married my husband without the permission of wali under the law of state because despite of repeated telling to my parents both mother and father they did not agree for the marriage withoud any valid reasons. Recently Malaysia voted down a child marriage which is ridiculous. the sheikh said that girls as young as 9 are ready to marry. i wanted to ask what is the age of marriage for women in Islam. And how can she give her consent at such a young age?
