I gave zakaat money to my uncle because he was collecting money in order to pay for his surgery. I gave him money but did not tell him that it was zakaat money. He already used the money to pay for his surgery. Was it compulsory to tell him that it was zakaat money before I gave him the zakaat money? Should I give zakaat again and ignore the money I gave

No need to tell him that as long as he was truely poor or needy.

I have land that I have intention to sell more than one year ago but still now don’t have buyer my question is do I have to paye zakat and how to calculate the zakat. ..thank you

Yes, as long as it is for sale for one year, you should give zakat to the estimated selling price of today and not the price you are asking for.

If it goes to poor and needy Muslims, this is permissible. You must be sure of that. It is better to give it to trustworthy people who would know how to spend it in an Islamic way

There is a Islamic institute and they teach Quran and college study free.usually poor girls are studying there and they receive donations from the people. Can I give them Zakat.

Giving it to the school is not permissible. You may give it directly to the poor students and they may use it in whatever they wish.

if i have given loan to a poor and needy and they are unable to return it to me can i consider it to be my zakat to them within the same year?

I got married last January. During my first Ramadan after marriage my one year was not completed so we did not give zakat. Now that our one year has been completed should we give zakat immediately or wait for coming Ramadan.

You have to give zakat every lunar year if the money had reached the threshold; whether it happens to be Ramadan or any other month whether you are married or single!

Is it okay to give Zakah to our blood relatives when they are in extreme need without letting them know this is Zakah money so that they don’t feel embarrassed and shy in taking that money? Because many times people out of their dignity and self respect reject to take that money even if they are in need, especially from the people they know.
