I have been in search for a job for over 2 years and is very hard.My cv was given to central bank in Nigeria. So I was wondering should I accept the work even though I don’t want to, for it is the only work offer that May come. And I don’t know what to tell those who have been helping for if I refuse I feel they would not help me again even though they are family. Please make dua.

It is not permissible to work for a conventional bank as it deals in riba and Allah cursed all those who deal with it or assist it.

If I rent a car for 3 months for driving a taxi service, I need to pay the rent every week on Saturday. But the company states that if payment is not made after 3 days of the weekly payment date, a late charge of $60 will be charged. Is this riba? Is this permissible for me to rent the car to work for the taxi service?

I work with a company and I have been assigned to a project that is associated with a company that produces and sells alcohol. My job is to monitor the computer and just see that it’s up and running. I won’t be involved in any kind of interaction with the company and will not be solving any problem associated with it. It is permissible for me to work here?

I work in a bed and mattress shop , there is one aspect to the job in which we have to try and sell warranty on the mattress at an extra cost, which is haram I believe. my question is what do I do now? Many Muslim live in Scandinavia countries and enjoy the social benefits but when talking about work then they say we can’t so and so places because there sales prohibit things in Islam. But they blind eye for the money getting from gov. Which gov got the money from taxes like alcohol, gambling, pork, interest from all kinds of business. They are right in refraining to work in haram jobs! However, if there is a halal job, they should apply for it. These benefits are part of the system provided by the government and they are not doing anything wrong in utilizing it.

Increase your ibadah, do loads of good deeds and wake up up for tahajjud and pray to Allah and ask Him. It would help greatly if you can enlist in different courses that would add value to your experience such as auto cad and other softwares requested by companies.

I am planning to start a restaurant serving halal food. If I play light music with low volume to please the customers, will my income through the restaurant business be HARAAM? Kindly advise.

I am doing online business for my earning. I hire indian Female writers (better than males) for writing articles for my business. I simply give them topics to write on and they send me articles. There is no direct contact with any female, only exchange of topics and articles is done online.I just email them topics and they mail me back. Is this halal or haram?

This depends on the nature itself, however, if you have no unnecessary contact to the women, this seems permissible.
