QUESTION: We are advised to do istighfar more often. Someone said to me that it’s important to recite darood inrahimi before and after recting the istighfar (so it is to be accepted).Is it so?

ANSWER: No. When making dua, you should send salutations on Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, not when making dhikr.

QUESTION: Do we need to keep a count on our fingers when we do dhikr like exact 33 times SubhanAllah or we can just do dhikr with our mouth?

ANSWER: The sunnah is to keep count with your fingers. If you are certain of the number without keeping count with your fingers, this is fine.

QUESTION: Is it a MUST to have Surah Mulk memorized to be saved from the torment of the grave or can I read off the mushaf or my phone and it will suffice

ANSWER: This would suffice. However it’s best to memorise it.

QUESTION: During reciting sayyidul istighfar in the morning and the evening, am I supposed to apply the etiquette of being certain that Allah is going to respond? Or should I just recite the dua without being certain?

QUESTION: Is the dhikr recited every morning and when evening: Ya Hayyu ya Qayyum, bi rahmatika astaghith, aslih li shani kullahu, wa la takilni ila nafsi tarfat ‘ayn authentic?

QUESTION: My question is i am confuse about adhkaar after maghrib salah i read all adhkaar now when i come to 3 quls i am confuse should i have to read surah iqhlas 3 times , surah falaq 3 times and surah naas e times or i have to read it only one time.

ANSWER: After all fard salah, these are recited once but after fajr and Asr or maghrib, they can be combined with morning and evening adhkar hence reciting it thrice is done.

ANSWER: Yes.

Sheikh people say inna lillahi wa inna ilahi raziun when someone passes away or we can say when we lost something, when gas went off etc?

After witr we r supposed to recite Subhaanal Malikil Quddoos 3times. But we also know to recite astaghfirullah 3x…so which one should be done after saying salam in witr?

ANSWER: Astaghfirullah 3 times…. is ONLY said after fard prayers and not after voluntary prayers or witr!

There are different versions of the dua “Radhitu Billahi Rabban, wa bil Islami deenan, wa bi Muhammadin (ﷺ) nabiyan/rasoola” and one has “wa bi Muhammadin (ﷺ) nabiya wa rasoola” as the last line. Are they all authentic and mean the same? Does one need to say (ﷺ) every time they say this dua?

ANSWER: You can say either one and you don’t offer salutation after it as this is not from the sunnah.
