QUESTION: Sheikh, what percentage of my salary should be given to my family, to the orphan & to keep for myself? Kindly explain the islamic view.

ANSWER: There is nothing specified as such. It’s your own money and you’re obliged to give at least the basics to your wife and children and as for parents you are only obliged to give them if they don’t have any money of their own.

QUESTION: Sheikh I have no father brother son as I’m unmarried, but I have my paternal cousins and What if I want to get married and whom should I take my wali ?

ANSWER: Yes, your closest paternal next of kin is your guardian though he is not your mahram.

QUESTION: My husband spends on his relatives, I do not have a problem with that , I respect his choices and appreciate his helpful nature , but when I ask for a small trip / travel together he always answers by saying that he doesn’t have any money to do so . I have started feeling bad about this and I no longer have affection for him .What do you recommend in this scenario ?

QUESTION: I live with my parents and my elder brother. My brother is 26 and i am 21 . He is going to get married next year so he wants me to leave the house by getting married as soon as possible. So that his wife and my parents can live together. I am kind of thorn for him in his married life . We are looking for matches for me but just waiting for the right match .

ANSWER: He has no right in asking you to leave the house. He is the one who is supposed to leave the house and provide for his wife a separate accommodation.

QUESTION: Sheikh If a guy is a practicing Muslim and his behaviour is good too but his job his haram like works in bank..Is it okay to say yes to such marriage proposal?
