sheikh I would like to know if I’m praying maghrib and I’m getting the last raka’ah(ie 3rd raka’at) with jama’at i notice many of the do not sit for tashahud for theit second raka’at is this the way. But the get tashahud two times. Pls enlighten .

This is totally wrong. The Rakah they prayed with the Imam was their first. After the prayer was over, they must stand for their second and third Rakah. This means they must sit in their second Rakah for tashahud and finally in their third Rakah.

My grandfather never prayed, nor did he used to fast. My father tries to feed people on his behalf for the fasts he missed every ramadan. But prayer cannot be offered on his behalf. Is there any chance for him to go to Jannah? My grandmother also had a dream of him where he was in severe agony.

He is a Muslim as long as he didn’t confess of not praying nor it was proven that he didn’t pray at all. Therefore, only Allah knows what will happen to him.

In ramadan in Makkah I saw the imam was leading the prayer at the place of taraweeh and was not praying at kabah. So my father said that this was wrong for the people to pray in front of the imam. So please can you clarify it with evidence that Wether it’s correct or not.

If a person absentmindedly keeps his mobile on the prayermat and suddenly in salah in the masjid ,the phone starts ringing (he often forgets to put it on silent mode) can he bend ,pick the phone and put it on silent while in salah in the masjid so that others do not get disturbed while praying .

This is problematic as he must not bow without the imam. It seems if he bends his knees while his back is still straight that this might be acceptable.

If I wake up after sunrise for fajr occasionally, is it a must to wake up my family or should i just pray right away and they can pray once they wake up? Because my wife says just let me sleep because we already missed fajr on time so dont wake me up until i wake up myself!? Please clarify

You must wake her up to pray! Insisting on not waking up because it was missed makes making it up useless.

Some people put their phones and wallets in front of them when praying and is directly under their stomach when doing sujood. Is it permissible to keep items in front of you like this?

When I travel from London to Paris by air, I usually pray qasr and join my salaah. What I want to know, when I reach my hotel, do I continue joining and praying qasr or do I pray the full salaah? I usually stay for about 7 days.

I set my alarm to wake up for Fajr time, but when I woke up I saw that my alarm battery ran out so I woke up past the time for Fajr. Can I pray Fajr because I slept past the correct time by accident?

You have to pray it as soon as you wake up.

Behind the imam can I recite fatiha after he has finished his fatiha (in loud salah).Or do I have to recite along with him when he recites? I follow the opinion which says that fatiha should be recited behind the imam even in loud rakah.So please answer according to this opinion.
