I was labelled as a bad son for supporting my wife in front of my parents and siblings. I stay away from my home and in my homeland there was lots of misunderstanding raised between my wife and mother, thus I asked her to go and stay in her mother’s place to avoid more misunderstanding because I would lose any one of them. Did I do anything wrong Shaikh?

Your parents have rights over you and so does your wife. You did nothing wrong in supporting your wife as long as you were not disrespectful or rude with your mother. My husband is not allowing me to go to Taraweeh to Masjid. I really really want to go shaykhs. I used to go before marriage now I feel like I am totally disturbed as he is not allowing me. But he is a practicing muslim.Alhamdulillh. What to do in situations like these?

You have to obey him. Try to soften his heart and remind him of the order of the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam not to prevent women from going to Allah’s houses.

A friend of mine said that her mother keeps on saying that paying for or getting an ill/sick wife treated is not the husband’s responsibility but is the responsibility of the wife herself. When it’s written in Holy Quran that Man has made superior to Woman as he pays than how much is it true and what is the ruling for it ?

This is not truel! It is the husband’s duty to provide for his wife as well as pay for her treatment if she is sick. What kind of husband would he be if he left his wife sick with no medical treatment?

My husband always chatting with non-mahram. Some conversations are flirtatious and inviting to adultery. He also sits with friends who drink alcohol. He takes religious matters lightly. He curses a alot, introduce movies and musics to our children. I have made so many arrangements for religious classes. Some he has attended. My questions: (1) Is he a munafiq? My question is that,if a mother tell you or showing you that she doesnt like you wife without any raison, only because of your sisters doesnt like your wife, what do you need to do? Give your wife taalak?

Are you a man? You must defend your wife and not divorce her just because your mother or sisters don’t like her without any reason. Move out and live with her in a separate accommodation and do not let her see them for sometime.

Few years back only i came to know what is islam.Now I know the basic of Islam my parents not in islamic way.so ithought of marriying a man who increase my knowledge.My husband satisfies my worldy needs.He know the basic of islam but he is not concentrating much in increasing his knowledge.he is more concentrating in worldly life.he is not hearing my words.
