I was told that we should not kill animals/insects by burning them. So, is killing them using electric device, such as the electric fly swatter allowed?

ANSWER: This is allowed as this is not burning.

sometimes when Iam making dua alone ,whenever i hear someone about to enter the room I immediately put down my hands Iam shy to show them … and for example : Iam on my way to masjid and iam doing miswak and i see some people looking at me I put down the miswak because i feel like they will talk behind me will this be a major shirk ?

ANSWER: Scholars say: doing something to show off to people is riya’a. Leaving something for the fear of people talking is shirk! Repent to Allah, be careful from next time and don’t do this again.

There are people who hang up quran ayats (such as kursi, last 4 quls…) on walls or frames. Some people even hand them on their cars. They believe this gives them blessing & protection. Many people don’t even bother reading them, they believe it’s decoration! is this considers minor shirk or bidah?

sheikh my husband has a general store n he used to sell cigarettes too.i want to know whether it is permissible to sell cigarettes. As per the Hadith (kullu muskirin haraam) does cigarettes come in this category.what about it’s rulling in islam.have to sell it or not?plz guide us

ANSWER: No problem in baking and selling wedding cakes. However, it’s not permissible to personally serve at mix gatherings or at non muslims weddings.

we used to call one maid now and then for house cleaning. Once i called her for cleaning house and went to some work by the time I came back she finished her work and left same thing happened twice I have to pay her wage I lost her phone number and she by herself also didn’t come to take her wage now what should I do.
