There is one big mosque being constructed in my home area. The problem is that sufis (who ask the dead and promote bid’ah) are muftis in my area, and they will be in charge of this mosque. At the same time not all the muslims in my area are sufis, so they will be also praying there. Is it permissible to participate in construction physically or financially in this case?

Working in a bank is haraam ..People around say these are different times and We have a Maulana Sahab his son works in a bank thereby giving kind of sanction to ignorant people like me to work in Banks..And my 2, 3 cousins work in Bank they say its better to work in a bank than to be penny less and may lead to many sins like shoplifting etc etc …Their Logic

Ya Sheikh in Pakistan we eat a dish usually called “Haleem” made from different lentils. Our Scholars said bcz Haleem is the Name of Allah so it should called Daleem(urdu name of dish) but people argue that we have so many other names like Hakeem,Wakeel, Waris etc so we can’t change everything. So what’s the ruling specifically on a food dish name?

wat if someone has changed her surname to her husband’s name for a very long tym nd all her documents include her husband’s name, den she was ignorant of d sin, wat can she do now? Bcus its been a very long tym nd all of her documents include his name.

My grandfather has passed away, and his inheritance is with my father which hasn’t been yet divided. My only uncle lives in a separate country and he can’t come back. He keeps pushing me to request my father to settle the property. But my father doesn’t show interest and always keeps making excuses. I told my parents that this is wrong but they keep scolding me.

ANSWER: This is absolutely wrong and your father MUST distribute this property immediately. Your uncle can take your father to court to get his right by approaching his country’s embassy and filing an official complaint. Your father will be punished by Allah for preventing his brother from taking what Allah has given him.

A friend of mine smokes cigarett,but he doesnt eat haram chicken,beef.cause those are haram.so he asks if cigarette is more haram,than eating haram chicken/beef he will leave smoking.i told him both are haram.but he wants to know which sin is more so that,then he will leave smoking.can u explain?

ANSWER: We can’t quantify sins like this! It is sufficient for a Muslim to know that it is sinful and that Allah hates it in order for him to leave it. Smoking kills and it is like suicide, in addition to wasting money and the foul smell it leaves on a person.
