ANSWER: In Islam it is not permissible to remove your father’s name and use your husband’s name after the marriage, let alone what people think in society. As a female is always recognised by her father’s name and not her husband’s name.

My father recently returned to his maker. In his lifetime he was a very pious and helping man. But out of ignorance he was involved in life insurance, and he also took some policy for their sons and daughter. What should I do with the money? Can I accept the full matured value money? Pls help me.

What is the ruling on buying goods from the auction house whose features/defects are somewhat unknown at the time of bidding and become apparent only after getting the ownership of that article. Does it fall under the category of gambling? And is bidding to buy items permissible in general?
