Is there any authenticity of giving surah yaseen, salat mats and tasbih to people in order to give sawab to the deceased? Does the dececeased receive any sawab by this custom? People here even gathers and cook food on every friday night for this( eesala e sawab). Whats the most authentic and genuine way of sending sawab to the deceased?

Should we make the dua’a if we are in the bathroom/shower, or should we wait until after we leave the bathroom? I read on islamqa that Shaykh bin Baaz said it’s permissible to say Bismillah in the bathroom before doing ghusl/wudu. Does the same apply to the dua’a AFTER wudu?

ANSWER: It is permissible to say Bismillah in your heart, without moving your lips in the washroom. However, you should say the dua immediately, as soon as you step out of the toilet.

Let’s say if someone committed adultry and I didn’t bring 4 witnesses but recorded a video, does recording a video is equivalent with bringing 4 witnesses in fiqh zina?

My hubby finds a few of my dad’s habits offensive, which my dad doesn’t do intentionally, it’s only his nature. Now my hubby asks me to tell my dad not to do so and so and sometimes me and my hubby gets in to a big fight because of them. My dad not aware of this at all. Please suggest me, should i tell this to my dad or should i keep it myself, knowing that this will irritate my hubby furthermore

ANSWER: Your husband has no right dictating about your dad’s habits. If he doesn’t like something, he shouldn’t meet him rather than asking him to change for him. Your husband is not obliged to maintain ties with your father. Therefore, ask him not to meet your father.
