In what conditions is one allowed to break his/her fast, be it voluntary or making up? Yesterday i was making up fast and i had severe headache from morning till night.( i dont usually have that headache when i fast) If i had broken my fast, would i have sinned? When is one allowed to break fast?

ANSWER: You are not sinful for breaking your obligatory fast due to sickness. Voluntary fasts can be broken even if you don’t have any reason for that.

ANSWER: If you pay it in advance like charging it or you pay it immediately before using it or you authorize the bank to clear it from your account before the grace period is over, this seems permissible.

ANSWER: These are two separate things! Athkar is for protection and watching drama and listening to music draws devils into the home and one is sinful for that.

My relatives have come for umrah. They have to depart on friday when haram is fully crowded. As a precaution not to mis it can they make intention and perform tawaf al vida on thursday? And if early morning of friday get chance do another tawaf e vida again? Or if done on thursday with intention they cant do it on friday again?

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible. The intention of zakat must be before giving it and not after.

What is the ruling on speaking on the phone with the opposite gender for the sake of getting to know each other for marriage. Note, this will be within limits and not going beyond the scope of getting to know each other (likes, dislikes, personality) . Note, she lives in another state and she would like to speak on the phone to get to know each other more.

ANSWER: This is not permissible. You can only speak with her in the first meeting, in the presence of her wali when you go to see her.

ANSWER: When people fear something, they run away from it. When we fear Allah, we run to Him as our fear is combined with love and hope. Without any of these three ingredients, a person is not considered to be a real Muslim.

I want to marry a good looking & religious girl. I got a proposal frm very religious girl bt she is little fat and not good looking. Now I feel like I should not let this proposal go as such religious girl proposals come rare & should give preference to her deen over looks.
