Do we need to obey our parents if they tell us to do wrong and bad things, which is not permissible in Islam? What to do if they put more weight on us that we cant bear? Allah says to obey your parents but he also says always stand for truth. What to do in this situation?

ANSWER: It is not permissible to obey anyone at the cost of disobedience to Allah. However, you must handle this situation diplomatically, with respect but being firm on not compromising on the rulings of Islam.

Dealings and Attitudes with In-Laws

ANSWER: This is baseless. Your house is the house or accommodation that your husband provides for you. You do not have any right on your inlaws house. At the same time, you are not obliged to serve or obey them as they are not your parents.

In most houses, the toilet and bathroom are joined.Are we allowed to take wudu in this type of bathroom?If not, is it okay to take from a sink and wash our legs in the bathroom?

Ablution (Wudhu)

ANSWER: No problem in making wudu there. You can say Bismillah before you enter the bathroom or say it in your heart before making wudu.

Is one allowed to sell something very old (like a coin) to someone at a high price if it is rare?

ANSWER: He can’t be practicing and answering such invitations of shirk at the same time! He must not go there and tell them that his religion prohibits him.

Sometimes, when I wear pants, or when I wear lungi, firstly the pants stay over the ankles. But pants become loose, and in wearing lungi, while sitting, the bottom of lungi goes under the ankles. By length, they are above the ankles, it only happens in the situation. Am I sinful, and what should I do???

ANSWER: No. As long as your lower garment is above the ankles, it doesn’t matter if it goes down when you sit or lie down.

ANSWER: This hadeeth with the addition that Allah will please him on the day of judgement is weak and not authentic. However, this thikr is authentic to be said after the athan and also 3 times with the morning athkar.
