What is the most authentic opinion concerning the obligation of paying zakatul maal on behalf of minors? I have read that the majority regarded it as obligatory but for example imam Abu Hanifa and sheikh Al Albani did not do so. The arabic word الصبي is used in this regard but to which age refers this? Is this from the birth until puberty?

ANSWER: It’s obligatory to pay zakat for minors and insane people as well as long it reaches nisab and stays for a whole hijab year.

I am an accountant. I quit my job because it involved recording riba at times. And job hunting. Almost all jobs an accountant can get would involve recording riba. Now I got a job offer in a bank. And this job won’t involve recording riba, but filing reports to authorities. Is it acceptable? Or at least more acceptable to work in a Bank w/o recording riba, than work in non-Bank and record riba?

ANSWER: It’s totally prohibited to work in any department of a riba based bank, even if you work as a janitor, its prohibited and the income is haram and its one of the major sins in Islam!

ANSWER: No problem in this whatsoever. What you have heard is totally baseless and a superstitious belief that has got nothing to do with islam.

If I live in Russia and there is one Muslim in my family. Can I inherit property from a relative or receive it if a will is drawn up for me? Does it have to be a written and notarized will?

ANSWER: If you mean, can you inherit from a non muslim relative then this is not permissible. They can gift you in their lifetime or can write a will of 1/3 of less of their property in their will.

When someone talks bad about me in front of anyone and the person listening to him comes to me and tells me he said such and such thing about me? How do I respond to that? Do I confront him or just pray?

ANSWER: No problem as long as it doesn’t have anything haram, like free mixing between non mahrams, music, exchanging rings etc.

If person 1 has said some wrong words for person 2, if I tell person 2 about what person 1 has said about him without adding anything from me, will it come under backbiting. My intention of telling was to aware that person 2.

ANSWER: This is called nameemah which is gossiping and would cause a fight between the two which is one of the main reasons for the torment of the grave. The prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said: the person who does this sin will not enter paradise.

ANSWER: If he doesn’t pray them as soon as he remembers or gets up then he cannot make it up later at all and he is sinful.

Can the dua “Bismika Rabbi wada’tu janbi wa bika arfa’uhu…” be said without dusting off the bed or before dusting it off? To my knowledge this wouldnt be from the sunnah but would i still get the reward for saying it or would it be better to not say it unless i dust my bed off?

I am supposed to be starting college soon, but I’m confused regarding my choices. I really want to become a student of knowledge, but my only fear is that Islam doesn’t need my contribution, because there are others who are more superior that are serving the deen. My other choice is to become a medical doctor, but I fear I will regret not having time to study the deen. Please advise me.
