QUESTION: Next year In’sha’Allah I will visit my hometown so what is the ruling on combining prayers or not going to the masjid to pray which is near my house there? I’ve heard that a person can combine prayers until the person is settled. Is this true? How do I know if I still feel unsettled or if the shaytan is trying to play me to still combine?

ANSWER: If its your hometown where you would eventually come back to, you must pray normally, like a resident as soon as you land in your city as you are not considered a traveller anymore.

ANSWER: No problem in wearing these in front of other women or at your home in front of your mahrams but when going out and in front of non mahram men, you must wear a very loose and thick fabric abaya that covers your entire body, bone structure and curves.

QUESTION: I took my mom for an x-ray. There, that guy held my hand, kept it on my mom’s hand and asked me to hold her firmly. I took off my hand showing that I disliked what he did but he repeated it again. I encountered such a thing for the first time. How should I react the next time something similar occurs?

ANSWER: Don’t stand so close to non mahram men in the first place and move away immediately while showing your resentment physically. Tell him firmly: don’t touch me and show me where you want me to put my hand!

QUESTION: My question is can men wear mix colour shirts or tshirts which have orange colour in them. As orange colour is usually worn by buddhist monks, hindu priests, non believers etc. And if we wear such colours does it effect the validity of our prayers?
