I have been trying to teach my mother how to pray, but it is very difficult as she has no form of education islamic tr otherwise. She can not remember many things and she gets mixed up with what i try to teach.And she doesnt undastand and has no fear when i tell her about the grave or hereafter or hell. I prayed istikhara for something last night and overslpet for salatul fajr, I very rarely miss salatul fajr alhamdullilah, if you were in my position would you class this as a sign to ward me against the thing I prayed istikhara for?

There isn’t such a sign. You choose something, pray Istikhara and then go ahead with it as there is nothing to indicate a sign or a dream as a result of your Istikhara. And Allah knows best

On Friday, I go to college and the teacher has gave me enough time to pray Dhuhr but not enough time for Jumma jamat. For example, my lunch starts at 12:45pm and finishes at 1:45pm, Dhuhr azan starts at 1:05pm and the Jumma Jammat starts at 2:00pm. Can I pray Dhuhr instead?

No, you must pray Friday. Try to convince your teacher to delay your lunch break. The least you can do it only attend the prayer and not the Khutbah. And Allah knows best

Both are considered to be Fard. But when a person is residing and has not legitimate excuse to skip Friday, he obliged to pray it. If he has a legitimate excuse – as in the case of illness- in this case, Thuhur becomes Fard. And Allah knows best
