Is it permissible to eat food from a restaurant that is not halal, but the food one intends to eat is halal?. For example going to a Chinese restaurant that isn’t halal but eating only fish dishes?

I want to do something to earn some money in my home, can I do waxing? And is hair cutting allowed for ladies?

Waxing is allowed as long as the awrah is not exposed – you can do the arms, and forelegs. Hair cutting is allowed.

My grandmother has passed away. I would like to do some sadaqa jaria for her so she will get reward. I am thinking of buying 100 qurans( from my money) and give them to people who visit the Janasa house. So when they read the quran the reward will go to my grandmother. Is this ok in Islam? If yes, how to should I keep my intention?

This isn’t permissible. Buy these copies of the Quran and put it in a masjid or send it to some poor country where students would memorize the Quran from it!

If engagement party should not be attended due to the concept of mixed gathering, then what about going to market places, shopping malls and other public places like hospitals, schools,etc… Infact all places which has mixed gatherings of both genders. Please answer as I am finding it hard to answer my relatives.

If it is a mixed gathering, this is not permissible for you to attend.

In my anatomy class, we sometimes have had to use pictures and illustrations of human beings (with facial features) for labeling and studying. I did not draw any such pictures myself, but only used the ones already drawn. Is this permissible?

Yes, in sha Allah, this is permissible.

My period is irregular and sometimes when it comes I used to see some drops or it’ll come in the morning and evening but at mid night I don’t see anything. This happens some days/weeks before its comes. I don’t know whether I should pray because it happens like this for 3 weeks now. I am confused of what to do.

Menstruation and post-natal bleeding

Few drops do not count. You should only stop praying when the blood flow is established. This is your original menstruation.

It is our belief that when we seek refuge in Allah from shaytaan,Allah grants us refuge for that particular thought but right after that another thought can come. Is that thought another distraction from shaytaan? Because we sought refuge right before, can we say that this next thought isn’t from shaytaan rather help from Allah?

This seems permissible.

“The person who is praying behind an imam should not move to the next posture of the prayer until the imam has reached it”. Some imams say the takbeer after they have reached the next position, some say it before they have reached. When should I start moving towards the next position? With the takbeer or after the takbeer?

When the imam has reached the position he is moving to, regardless of his takbeer. But if you can’t see him, then only move after he finishes his Takbeer.
