QUESTION: Is there any udhr for men to not lower their gaze from a woman, other than marriage? I sometimes see that du’aat look at them when clarifying their question, or when women take the shahadah with them. Please clarify my confusion

ANSWER: This is not permissible. Men are ordered to lower their gaze to any woman who is non mahram to him. I would also advise you to mind your own business as you are as guilty as they are! How did you know that they were looking at these women if you yourself weren’t?

QUESTION: There is a cultural norm in pakistan when we greet elders (mahram or non mahram) they put their hand on our head. I have also seen this in religious families. Is it permissible?

ANSWER: This is not permissible. It is permissible to give children toys that have the shape of humans or animals. It is not permissible to have these drawings on the clothes of children or on such school supplies etc The only thing permissible is selling or making such TOYS for kids to play with.

QUESTION: If there is a masjid and there is no grave inside the building of the masjid but there are multiple graves around it and the masjid and those graves are surrounded or are enclosed in a common fencing , is it permissible to pray there?

ANSWER: If the masjid and the graves are inside the same compound, it’s not permissible to pray there.

QUESTION: I pay tax to my government and that tax is used in construction of temples am I sinful?

QUESTION: My grandmother is very old and always forgets things and her overall behavior is like a kid. My mother has to look after her the whole day and she and my father often become frustrated and shout. When I try to calm my mother sometimes she gets angrier and thinks I am disregarding her pain. What should I do to calm the shouting while still showing support to my mom?

ANSWER: Do not say anything while she’s in the middle of completing her task! When she’s in a good mood and sitting and relaxed, talk to her about the reward she would get for being patient with her old mother and fulfilling her duties while anticipating the reward from Allah.

QUESTION: Is it true that now imam prays a little behind in the mataf (in the haram) if it’s true then is Salah accepted of those who pray In the mataf or in front of ka’aba or is it permissible to pray like that

ANSWER: It is an issue of dispute and in sha Allah this is permissible when there is a necessity.

QUESTION: In our masjid fajr adhan is not when the break of dawn is. For example if the break of dawn is 5:25 and the sunrise is 6:55 our fajr adhan is about 6:15. I want to know is it better to pray alone when the break of dawn is or to pray with congregation much later? And if i pray fard alone in the beginning of the time can I be imam of the congregation later?

ANSWER: You must join the congregation in the masjid as long as they pray within the allocated time. Try to look for a masjid that follows the sunnah to pray with them

QUESTION: Eating food prepared by the family of deceased In our masjid the family of the dead serve food when someone dies, i don’t participate in their gatherings but when i go for salah they announce that “so and so died and here’s some food please have some” can i consume from it?

ANSWER: It is not permissible to sit with them and eat with them. You can take the food and go and eat it at your home.

QUESTION: Allah’s attribute are unlike his creation or can’t be conceived since they are above his creation What about Allah’s mercy heard them say it is infinite did the sahaba know about infinite and isn’t infinite conceivable is Allah’s mercy above infinite since infinite is part of creation Heard Adam is his last creation can his creation be infinite in quantity or does infinite uniquely belong to Allah
