A sister I know recently had a miscarriage, I understand life is given and taken by Allah SWT.Family claim when a lady loses her baby she is cursed and that if a pregnant lady was to be near her or in a miscarried ladies shadow then she too will lose her child.How can I make them understand this is untrue and is there any hadith in regards to this?

ANSWER: This is permissible only if there’s no music and no dancing cheerleaders shown and providing one doesn’t delay or miss the prayer because of watching it like an obsession.

Is it necessary for itikaaf to be for the whole last 10 nights of Ramadan or we can do itikaaf for 5 to 6 nights as I will be cleared from my menses on the 24th night of Ramadan? We would like to sit in itikaaf in Masjid Al Haram, Makkah in shaa Allah.

sheikh, are we muslims supposed to do any type of celebrations, extra prayers on the day of shab e barat/mid shaban? Did prophet peace be upon him ever done celebrations on that day? Or celebrating on that day is bid’ah?

I’ve made an oath to Allah that I’ll not commit a specific sin.However I couldn’t control myself.I know the kufara for breaking an oath but since I’m a teenager,I can only fast for 3 days but not feed or cloth 10 people.But problem is, my parents don’t allow me to fast during anytime except Ramadan.Is it okay if I fast during Ramadan rather than normal days?Will Allah consider this as the kufara?

ANSWER: No, you cannot fast any other fasts in Ramadan. Don’t tell them you’re fasting and keep those 3 fasts of breaking the oath.

I wanna ask that,is it must for us to cut nails every Friday or after every 40th day.Like some people’s nail grow more even if it’s on weekly basis so will any of the above rule will apply similarly?Is thier any hadith in which punishment of not cutting nails is mentioned as many of them I know but not sure whether they’re true or not.
