ANSWER: This is not permissible. You must not keep pictures of the deceased anywhere, you must get rid of it.

Sheikh, So in Ishtekhara dua there is a part where you have to mention the matter you are doing ishtekhara for, I don’t know arabic, can I mention the matter in my own language in the dua? Will that make the dua invalid or make it weak or something?

ANSWER: No problem, you can make it in your own language if you don’t know how to say it in Arabic.

I borrowed a book from a person many years ago , I don’t have any contact of him . what should I do with the book ? Should I donate money to the poor to the amount of the books price ? ANSWER: This is not permissible as it’s prohibited in Islam to inflict harm to yourself and others. A Muslim’s attitude is never so casual about sins. You cannot sit back and say I will smoke just for fun, what next, I will just be a social drinker, without getting addicted to drinking!

I’m living in a nonMuslim country. Married to my husband for 10 years, have a 6 yr old daughter. My husband has reverted back to Hinduism, his birth religion. I am not financially dependent to move out of this marriage with daughter. Most jobs for freshers are in banking or insurance companies. I want to know if I can take those jobs to move out of this haram relationship?

ANSWER: You must immediately get out of this marriage as a Muslim woman cannot be married to a disbeliever under any circumstances. If you look hard you will find halal jobs, they may pay less but they will be at least halal.
