Sheikh, I’m newly married to my wife. There is a tradition in my culture, after the wedding, the in-laws expect to see the bed sheet or hear from their children if she was a virgin or not. I told my mother-in-law that I will not answer this question and I don’t believe I’m obligated to share. She said this is not haram and not an innovation. Please advise.

Sheikh is it true that if we set the animal apart from thr child they curse us?A cat entered our house hid her kittens in our downstairs portion. One time we put her kittens in our garden again she took them and hid them in our kitchen. ANSWER: If the kittens were very small, who were dependent on its mother for food then what she did was sinful. She must fear Allah and ask sincerely for Allah’s forgiveness, with deep remorse.

I would like to know if it is compulsory to wear hijab in front of male memebers of the family. I also want to know in home my full body is covered except my face hands and head but my mother insists me to wear a scarf on body in front of my father and brother. I am 20 yr old. Is it compulsory or obligatory to wear e scraf even after the clothing is decent and body is covered.

ANSWER: If you had done this while you were Muslim, this is a major sin but it doesn’t get you out of the fold of Islam! If you had done it while you were a disbeliever, there is no sin on you now and it doesn’t affect your islam.

I told one person that if u have accumulated riba then give this money like into a fine for example if u got a parking ticket then can a person pay riba money towards that ticket? Did i advise him wrong he knows riba is wrong but i thought is that way fine to get rid of riba money? If im wrong what shud i tell him now?

ANSWER: You were totally wrong in advising him without knowledge! The interest money must be given away to Poor or needy Muslims, in order to cleanse your wealth from haram money, not to benefit from it! You must tell him you said that out of ignorance.

A man believes prophet is alive in his grave, he is nur and ALLAAH is also nur, he has done bayt to a peer I don’t know of what kind, he goes to shrines but dsn’t ask the dead for anything but standing on the grave ask ALLAAH by the dead’s wasila. My question is that while performing wudu did prophet Muhammad (sal) recite any dua? For example: allahummagfirli zambi, wawasili fee dhaari, wabarikli fee rizki? Is this dua authentic ? Can we recite this dua while performing wudu?

Sheikh, recently a classmate of mine came to congratulate me on something & she wanted to shake hands which I obviously refused & from further conversations I learnt that she’s very ignorant on matters of deen.So I thought of sending some Islamic videos to her but then again I didn’t fearing that it may be waswasa from devil.What do u think is the correct action?

ANSWER: What you did was right by not shaking her hand and you must not be in touch with her by sending even Islamic messages as this will open doors for Satan to creep in and make you fall into something haram. You must not have any communications with her at all.
