QUESTION: Alhamdulillah we performed Umrah in 2024 and couldn’t afford going to Hajj in 2026. Can we again go for Umrah before performing Hajj. Is it permissible?

ANSWER: It would be wiser to save for your hajj as this might be viewed as not wanting to go for hajj by squandering your wealth on Umrah every time you save a bit! You have already performed one Umrah and that is sufficient.

ANSWER: If he beats you, you need to get your father and brother involved so that he knows you have men to protect you when needed. If he doesn’t stop, such an abusive husband must be deterred even if by threatening him to call the police.
