ANSWER: There is no such thing as new year resolutions in Islam. If you make an oath by taking Allah’s name then you must fulfill it.

ANSWER: If the water has reached in between your toes, pouring water is sufficient but the sunnah is to insert your fingers between your toes to ensure that.

Someone told me that Prophet Adam (as) was black. I didn’t find any proof for that, then I was told that the meaning of “Adam” in Arabic means “black” and that this is the proof. Is it true?

ANSWER: There are hadeeths that say that but as scholars combined all the other hadeeths, he was not black but rather with a bit of dark skin when compared to those who were really white. However, when not compared, he is white with slight redness.

Does the husband have to treat, speak and handle for example like buy gifts and allocate time each day to his wife differently to anyone else or is it permissible for him to deal with, handle and speak to his wife the same as any other person?

ANSWER: She is not like any other person! The kinder he is to her the better a muslim he is at the sight of Allah.

We know that making du’a through out good deeds is permissible. My Q is, Should I do a good deed(s) with the intention that I want to make du’aa to this good deed that I’m going to do? Or should I do good deeds for the sake of Allah (to earn His Pleasure)?

I saw an answer that women aren’t allowed to post their pictures online, but men can. If men post their pictures online the women might stare or look at it. Does women have to lower their gaze too, why are men allowed to post online and women aren’t allowed though?

I work for a company that send its employees to work in IT department for a bank. I get paid by the company not the bank, is this still haram income?
