QUESTION: I am a Cabin Crew & I always travel, so am I obliged to fast while i am traveling? Also how about my FARAD prayers do i need to shorten my FARAD prayers while i travel as per the ruling of Islam while Traveling? Is it okay if i don’t follow the ruling and fast and pray full as other people do while i am traveling, because this is my job Plz Clarify Jazakumullahhu Khairan.

ANSWER: It is permissible to skip fasting when traveling (but you must make it up later) and to perform prayer of a traveler. If you want to fast while traveling then there is no problem in that if there is no hardship on you.

QUESTION: Sheikh while praying in congregation if we see someone doing innovation in their prayer or any mistake can we tell them after the prayer and where is this in quran and sunnah or should we focus on our prayer at all times and not pay attention?

ANSWER:This is totally prohibited and one of the major sins in Islam. It’s your right to have your father’s name with your name even if he’s a non muslim.

QUESTION: Sheikh, My house is very close to the masjid.During Isha prayer the masjid fills up quickly and I am unable to get a place to pray.The loudspeakers are switched on during Isha prayer,so I can hear the Imam’s prayer clearly from my house.This takes place only in taraweeh.Having said that, can I pray in my house with the intention of praying in congregation

QUESTION: If I (woman) passed in front of someone while they are praying in a group by mistake, that I wanted to catch up with the prayer, would the one I crossed in front them repeat the prayer? Or what should I do or what should they do?

ANSWER: You invalidated their prayer if you crossed their sujood spot if they were praying alone. They must restart their prayer.

QUESTION: I wear prayer clothes for salah but find sometimes little spikes of hair may poke out at the back through the hijaab. Does this affect validity of salah as it is unintentional and I try my best to ensure I am fully covered before I start praying

ANSWER: No problem if its done unintentionally. Make sure you wear a thick scarf so that this doesn’t happen.

QUESTION: If we do not recite surahs (After Fatiha) according to the order in the Quran, does it invalidate our prayers? For example if we recite Surah At-Tin AFTER Surah An-naas in prayer

QUESTION: We need to finish every seed of the pomegranate when we eat it as it’s a fruit of jannah,can we throw the leftover if it’s sour or for any other reason?

ANSWER: No problem in throwing what you don’t like of it and you don’t need to eat it all. Just because it is a fruit of Jannah, this doesn’t give it any speciality in this life.
