ANSWER: Yes, her father (guardian) needs to know the mahr and this must be registered in the marriage contract and the witnesses must also know about it.

ANSWER: Even if he wants it or not you must give your son his father’s name & not someone else’s name as this is totally prohibited & a major sin!

QUESTION: I read somewhere that Allah’s response to your dua is based on your mindset. So if you believe that He probably won’t / might not give it to you, then He wont. ANSWER: Allah forgives all sins when a person repents sincerely before he dies, even if he committed shirk. If he doesn’t repent before he dies, then he is doomed.
