To stay in dhikrullah all day I say “la ilaha illAllah” every time I sit down. I read one of the salaf said “qul huwAllahu ahad” every time he sat down and achieved a great status by doing so. But I don’t know the authenticity of that narration. Is what I’m doing considered a bid`ah? Is there any danger of it becoming a bid`ah?

I live separated from my husband since 10 months. I do not intend to reconcile with him because I won’t be happy. I am asking for khula but he is refusing. I live in a non islamic country where there is no islamic court.What should I do?

You can’t have this khul’a without the ruling of an Islamic judge or his agreement to take financial compensation in return for divorcing you. Try the Islamic center.

Our local masjid imam says he has some water from the well in which Prophet (Salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) put his saliva into when it was dry and then all the companions drank from that well. Does this well exists and is it in an authentic narration?

This is a fabrication that one must not believe and even if such a well exists, the water in it has no significance and it is prohibited to believe otherwise.

Does Islam has any particular ruling regarding saving money? So can a person save money now for future investments and etc?

No problem but he must pay zakat if the savings reaches the level of nisaab and one lunar year passed by.

If I’m uncertain for example in salah that whether I’m on 3rd rakat or fourth rakat. Islam says to skip 3rd rakat because I should not pay attention to doubts after being certain about something. But Islam also says to pray 3rd rakat so I could go with what I’m certain about. Could you please tell me which way is correct?

If you are in doubt, the doubt is on the fourth rakah because you are certain that you have prayed three but doubting the fourth one. In this case, pray the fourth as it is the doubtful one.

I study in a university and there will be national day celebrations soon. Is it permissible for me to go because there will be girls dancing music etc? I live in the gulf.

A brother in charge wants to offer prizes (gift cards) for the kids who attend fajr prayer 3 times a week, for the first week 25$ value, if they continue for the second week then they would receive 50 and if they continue for the next couple of weeks then they would get a $100 gift card. What do you think of this as an encouragement for them?

I wouldn’t recommend it as it would shift their intention to getting the prize rather than to obey Allah. If this was a once prize, this may be ok but to give it over such long duration, I wouldn’t recommend it.

I have got engaged one month before with a good practicing well behaving muslimah. I would like to ask you that can I speak or chat with her in order to understand her better without speaking in a tempting manner or going into unnecessary issues.Asking this question bcoz she also interested to know me better so that there wouldn’t be any conflicts after the marriage has happened.

Yes, if you have signed the marriage contract. Otherwise, she is a stranger to you and you are not Mahram to her yet.

Some people refer to our Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi wa sallam) as the wali of the needy and the maula of orphans. Can the words Wali & Maula be used for anyone other than ALLAH swt? They say the word Maula comes for 16 different meanings and does not always refer to ALLAH SWT. Is this permissible?

In some malls in we can here the imam leading the prayer in the ladies section. If I have started the fard prayer and then I hear the imam should I have to continue or break and join the congregation?

You are not obliged to pray in congregation as a woman. You can pray on your own and leave.
