ANSWER: Lying is not permissible in Islam. You can dodge it without lying to be diplomatic or simply be proud of your Islam and tell her it is against your religion.

ANSWER: There is no sin on you for not making duaa for them.

ANSWER: There is no specific order to read the chapters of the Quran as it is all guidance from Allah no matter where you read it from. Saheeh international translation is one of the best.
