I’m a shareholder of a bank and currently I have almost 50,000,00 shares for more than a year. Do I have to pay Zakat on this? If yes, then what will be the calculation in light of Islam ?

You have to give 2.5% of the value of today and you must repent to Allah and express sincere remorse as you are committing one of the major sins in Islam as dealing or assisting in RIBA is a major sin.

Since more than fourteen hundred years Islam is same as described in Quran and Sunnah and shall remain like this till the end of time.

There is a fatwa which says in Northern Europe when the fasts are extremely long you can base your fasting on Mecca so your fast will never be longer than 12 – 16 hours. It is attributed to Mohammad Abduh and Tantawi and Ali Gomaa. I feel that this opinin is wrong ? Does it hold any weight at all ?

No weight none whatsoever as long as there is day and night there.

Today at Fajr i had been asleep and suddenly happend to wake up just after ikamah have been given. so right away from the bed i went to masjid just washing my face thinking I’m having wudu. and after when the imam wents to rukuh i realised i dont have wudu. But I continued the prayer cause it was last rakkah and after the prayer I took wudu and prayed two rakkah sunnah before fajr and asked for forgivness. What am i Supposed to do please help

Your prayer is invalid and you must repeat it and seek forgiveness from Allah for continuing to act as if you are praying while you have no wudhu.

u replied that when Imam makes dua like (ya rabbal alameen, or ya hayyu ya qayyum…) we should say nothing and listen only , does this apply to whole dua which he (imam) does in witr ? no need to say Ameen in witr dua in salaah ??

I went to a friends iftar party.she invited me so i did not want to say no and only women were there I wanted to peacefully break fast but the girls started to play music.It was iftar time so i had to eat with them and music was still on.I was disturbed but i did not say anything because it was her house.I went to other rooms but it was so loud.Did i do anything wrong?It was maghrib time

I’ve started practicing Islam a lot. One of the things I’m now doing on a regular basis is lowering the gaze from semi nude women. Looking at them corrupts my heart. My worry is how will I cope, looking at my wife after marriage during intercourse or times of privacy. Although, there’s nothing wrong in it, she’s still a woman and those feelings of corruption could come. Thanks

I understand. The story is about Musa AS as he prays to Allah for rain with thousands of his people. After the prayer there is still no rain. So Musa AS asks in a dua what he and his people did wrong. Allah, may He be exalted, responds that there is one wrongdoer that had committed sins over 40 years among the thousands and that he/she is the reason why the prayer is not answered. So Musa AS urged all the men and the woman that if they are wrongdoers, they should leave the group. Nobody leaves, and Musa AS prays again. After that, it pours from the sky. So Musa AS asks in a dua to Allah what the reason was of the rainfall, even though no-one left. Allah, may He be exalted, says that the person in dispute made repentance and that He accepted it. I think that the essence of the story is great, and I would like to narrate it further to my friends etc. but therefore I would like to know if it’s fabricated or not.
