The most authentic opinion is that gold is separate from cash and must not be combined for zakat.

is it possible that a person has gold below nisaab and cash below nisaab, but put together they total above nisaab? How does one figure that out?

A friend of mine collected zakaah for an area in Pakistan where needy people are living.There is on and off problem of water.They are using zakaah for boring water for an area/community. Should we keep a record of all the Zakaat and the Sadaqah (KHAIRAAT) which we do daily or on yearly basis? Like should we keep the receipts received from the Zakaat collector?
