ANSWER: What your friend said is an absurd lie! Prayers have allocated times and abandoning them is a major sin in Islam. No problem in praying in the masjid or an empty classroom.

ANSWER: It’s not permissible for your maternal uncle to be the wali! Your father is her wali and its mandatory for him to give his consent to the marriage otherwise the marriage would be invalid.
