Shirk and its different forms

Is it permissible to seek assistance from other than Allah? Many people quote hadith saying it is good to seek asistance from other than Allah. Please give brief clearification about this issue.

Calling the dead is shirk! Seeking the assistance in things that humans can do is. It shirk. Fr example, if you ask someone to help you carry a big box, this is permissible. But if you ask him for example to restore your eyesight and he is not a doctor, this is shirk!

If I obey my mom because I don’t want her to be angry with me or because I don’t want her to treat me badly, is this shirk if this is the only reason? I mean in permissible things like washings dishes etc.

This is not shirk. This is obedience to parents. Shirk is worshiping other than Allah.

You must burn them completely while reciting Ayat Al Kursi on it and the last 3 surah of the Quran.

One of my friends say that if someone prostrate (do Sajda) on a grave or before some other person, this is sajda of respect. And he says it is haram but not an act of shirk. Please clarify is it an act of shirk or not?

You should inform your family the best that you can do that this is haram and it nullifies Islam. Your father is allowed to take a second wife !

Asalamoalikom Some people go to shrines(Zyrat) , bring dust from thereand use it for curing. Is that allowed in islam to use the dust forhealing? Please give me the answer with reference to hadith or quran.

Wa alaikum salaam, I don’t give references due to lack of time, however, this is shirk and may nullify Islam to believe that dust will heal! Allah is the All Healer and not some dust from so called saints or peers.
