Imam abu hanifa had students that were very big like Imam Bukhari and Muslim and all other imams of major madhabs. Then why is his madhab sometimes wrong if he is the teacher of other great imams like Shafii and others and imam bukhari and Muslim are not?

ANSWER: Where do you get your knowledge from? Imam abu Haneefa had nothing to do with Imam Bukhari or Muslim as they were not even born when he died! He died in 150 Hijrah while Imam shafi’ee was born on the that same year!

Shaikh in subcontinent mostly all people follow the Madhab of Imam Abu Hanifa(May Allah have mercy on his soul),but they stick to it and not look QURAN and sunnah,even it goes against it,and people hardly find any person that follow Quran and sunnah,what should a layman do here,he go with what his laocal aalim tell him or if he find something opposite,is layman allow to contradict?

ANSWER: One must not stick to a particular madhab when there is an established sunnah for it. Follow the Sunnah.

Sheikh, watching your videos has enlightened me a lot, but as someone born in Hanafi environment, i have caught a lot of things that contradict with the Sunnahs of Prophet especially in how to pray, after i watched your prophet’s way of praying video, it seems Hanafi has quite a few differences, now what to follow and what not to?

ANSWER: Once you come to know the authentic sunnah about a particular issue you must follow it.

When I do something from other madhab, like reciting fatiha(quietely) being a muqtadiy, or raising hands before and after ruku they are sometimes very critical saying “in Hanafi madhab it is not permissable. If you’re from this madhab you should do everything according to it, and not pick and choose. Should I not do them even if hadiths are authentic, not to cause fitna?

ANSWER: It is not necessary to stick to a particular madhab, especially when we have an established Sunnah for it. Follow the Sunnah and ignore others who are ignorant and don’t follow the sunnah.

Is the reason that hanafi madhab has some weak hadith that the ahadith werent compiled yet completely or something else?

ANSWER: Yes, the hadiths were still not complied during the times of Imam Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on his soul and not all of this followers had knowledge in hadeeth and how to segregate the weak from the Saheeh.

Can a Muslim following the Hanafi madhab, do Rafa ul Yadain, fold his hands on chest in prayer, and pray Witr with two salams method? I am afraid because i know that a person should stick to his particular madhab. But i have read and heard that these practices i mentioned are more authentic and i am afraid that leaving them would lead to leaving a sunnah or to sin.

ANSWER: No problem.. it is not obligatory to stick to the practices of a particular madhab, especially when there is an established sunnah for the things mentioned.

Sheikh my question is that is it permissible to ask for solutions from a mufti or aalim who strictly follows and defends his madhab and is not ready to accept any other thought even if it is closer to quran and Sunday.

ANSWER: Such a person is a blind follower and is not allowed to give fatwa!

I follow the hanafi school of thought but if there is an certain matter based on salah or anything else and I find an opinion and authentic hadith and I find that imam shafi’s opinion is more correct then Abu hannifa can I respectfully follow that opinion of imam shafi as I do research and look into all the imams views and ask scholars etc

Hanafi is a well respected school of thought. If you are talking about Deobandi and brelvis, these are not called hanafi.

what’s ruling on, if I follow Quran , sunnah, fiqah by abu hanifa r.a. because we r not capable of being a mujtahid.
