Riba is Haram. If someone takes a Riba based loan for something like a course or study etc is he sinful all the time he is studying the course or is he sinful for just the loan? Is the money itself haram?

The money is haram and he is sinful for taking it.

I’m from Singapore and everything is expensive here. I have a motorbike but it’s ending soon, so I’m planning to get another one but I’m 6k short. I can refinance with the shop but at 12% interest. Is this okay? Bike is my mode of transport for work and school. A need sheikh. Pls advice.

This is not permissible as it involves riba. If he sells you what he has in his possession by a fixed price that is a lump sum whiteout the possibility to ever increase the agreed price even one dime, this is permissible.

I married had lived at a place where there were nogood people.They drank alcohol.And therein past my family have faced a lot of problems& at the end we did hijirah to my fathers house.v currently live there& meanwhile thought to sold that house but whoever wants to owe that house are giving us less money.now myfamily without my husband want to go back.can v take housing loan

As salaammualaikum. Bro,my husband wants to invest money with is friend he has started a business of iron .so he offered my husband to invest a amount like 10lakhs then he will pay him monthly 30,000 thousands is it ,ok to make this kind of offer what is the ruling on this .jazakalla hu khairan

Wa alaikum salaam This is RIBA.

My husband has started a business by taking up loan to purchase new machines n he is physically wounded with his half foot amputed due to excess of smoking . I was against the loan but without my knowledge he went for loan n purchased the new machines he has to pay heavy interest on that loan . Can I give my zakat to him to clear td loan as it he i is also earning n paying the interest monthly .? Or should I give to some other needy relative ? Pls guide me .

Assalamu aliakum, My wifes parents baught a house with a interest bank loan a few years ago when they where not pracitising Muslims. They did not know it was Haram back then. They became religious later and now want to pay the house down so they can live Riba free. Can I help them pay the house down, so that they can pay back the house loan as fast as possible avoiding longer payment of riba?

I have been shortlisted for the job of Finance Analyst for Sony Music Entertainment company in the UK. The company deals with haraam things such as music, and revealing women. However, my job has to analyse and prepare the budgets and invoices and make forecasts. Can I take up the job for gaining experience and donate the money earned from it?

This is not permissible as you will be assisting them in the sin and it also has dealings in RIBA as financing.

I received compensation due to me getting into a car accident. They paid me around £2000 and out of that £2000, £11 was interest money Should I give the £11 interest money to charity or should I keep it. I was unaware of them paying me interest .

Give it in charity

I reside in Saudi fr past four years n I am interested to buy a new car from Abdul lateef jameel agency as lease to own scheme. Please kindly advise if its halal or haraam to enter into that contract. They are showing tat it’s shariah board approved but I have doubt about that scheme. If it’s haraam or doubtful I wll avoid going into that contract. Please advise accordingly

I personally believe that this is not permissible.

There is something bothering me regarding the savings account in an undoubtedly pure Riba-based bank. I save my money because keeping it with me exposes the money to unnecessary spending & it is quite unsafe. I have even recently written to the manager to remove any interest attached to my account. Can I continue saving in this bank as a necessity?

If there is no Islamic bank or a bank that doesn’t give interest, in this case, it is permissible to keep such an account but You need to get rid of interest in means of charity.
