My uncle prays 5 times a day, all in the masjed, he fasts, he wakes up everyday for qiyam and recites Qur’an daily after fajar but he takes riba. My question is,Is it possible for him to be amongst those who Allah loves despite of dealing in riba? How else is he able to wake up for Tahajud and that also daily; I heard only Allah’s chosen ones get the opportunity.

No, this is not true. His RIBA is a major sin and these good deeds are something separate and different. The khawarij were described to us by our Prophet to be in great lengths of prayers and reciting the Quran. However, we are told that they are the hounds of hell-fire.

A car costs $150 per week on 0% interest for 4 years. However, if the buyer falls back on paying within the 4 years, he will be charged interest. Can a Muslim sign a contract to buy the car? Or is it ribaa – as the contract will state that if he falls back on his payments and extends paying to more than 4 years, he will pay interest on the installments paid after the 4 years?

This is not permissible as the stipulation of RIBA is in the contract and he is agreeing to it.

I was a CMA(ICWA) student For completing final of this course i want to complete one month training at that time sometime i wanted to do bank reconciliatiin (secondary data)may also have interest. Mainly this is concerned on reducing cost of a product and cost audit. But sometime as part of training if i do bank reconciliation it is wrong. Because for writing final examination training is must.

If this is from your bank on your account, this is RIBA and it is prohibited.

Riba is Haram. If someone takes a Riba based loan for something like a course or study etc is he sinful all the time he is studying the course or is he sinful for just the loan? Is the money itself haram?

I’m from Singapore and everything is expensive here. I have a motorbike but it’s ending soon, so I’m planning to get another one but I’m 6k short. I can refinance with the shop but at 12% interest. Is this okay? Bike is my mode of transport for work and school. A need sheikh. Pls advice.

This is not permissible as it involves riba. If he sells you what he has in his possession by a fixed price that is a lump sum whiteout the possibility to ever increase the agreed price even one dime, this is permissible.

I married had lived at a place where there were nogood people.They drank alcohol.And therein past my family have faced a lot of problems& at the end we did hijirah to my fathers house.v currently live there& meanwhile thought to sold that house but whoever wants to owe that house are giving us less money.now myfamily without my husband want to go back.can v take housing loan

As salaammualaikum. Bro,my husband wants to invest money with is friend he has started a business of iron .so he offered my husband to invest a amount like 10lakhs then he will pay him monthly 30,000 thousands is it ,ok to make this kind of offer what is the ruling on this .jazakalla hu khairan

Wa alaikum salaam This is RIBA.

My husband has started a business by taking up loan to purchase new machines n he is physically wounded with his half foot amputed due to excess of smoking . I was against the loan but without my knowledge he went for loan n purchased the new machines he has to pay heavy interest on that loan . Can I give my zakat to him to clear td loan as it he i is also earning n paying the interest monthly .? Or should I give to some other needy relative ? Pls guide me .

Wa alaikum salam wa rehmatAllah, This is not permissible. Zakat should be given to poor and needy and not to help sinners who deal in RIBA.

Assalamu aliakum, My wifes parents baught a house with a interest bank loan a few years ago when they where not pracitising Muslims. They did not know it was Haram back then. They became religious later and now want to pay the house down so they can live Riba free. Can I help them pay the house down, so that they can pay back the house loan as fast as possible avoiding longer payment of riba?
