Every Friday we read the Qur’an surah Al-Kahf and my question is when I read in general the Qur’an specially on Friday’s do I have to read so my lips move? or is it permissible to read in mind without moving the lips? Please advise me ..

there is a very big misconception regarding khatm e quran with a group of people at home for attaining blessings barakah or moving in to a new house i would like you to clear this misconception and where people read quran loudly in groups at home .? People are sending wrong info regarding this can you please help with the right guidance is it rite or bidah.

This is an innovation. If the owner recites suratul Baqarah to prevent Satan from entering the house, this is permissible. Having people do that in congregation or each one reading a portion of the Quran, this is an innovation.

During our childhood, my mother would tell a deceased’s family that “I will give you 40 Yaseen or 10 chapters of quran on behalf of my daughter/son (as in me)” for khatam. Later, she would force us to read them. But, when she would forget to remind us, we would skip them. As I was sitting today (15 years after that), I realized that I may have 4 – 5 Quran and more than 500 Yaseen to read.Need help

Yes, in shaa Allah, though one must try his level best to learn Arabic, at least to read it.

Sir i want to know that in this blessed month, i recite quran from my moblie phone by seeing in it. Is the reward of recitation the same as in the case of reciting Quran from the actual Mushaf or we get less reward?

sir plz advise me. I have memorised the entire Quran alhamdolillah and especially since then Ramadan has meant so much to me but I have not been able to focus on my Quran or taraweeh or organising my Ramadan worship because alhamdulillah have baby who I’m very grateful for but he is extremely clingy. I don’t know how to manage Ramadan and still feel the khushu desperate for advice

There is more reward for you in caring for your child and your husband. You must train your child to sleep at fixed times. When the baby is sleeping catch up on your Qur’an.

shaykh, is it bidah to read quran particularly done after every fard salah, a person completes his salah, he recites quran soon after finishing the prescribed adhkar and before performing sunnah prayers?

In India, there is this habit of reciting Surah Yaseen every Thursday night in addition to some other Surahs like Surah Ad-Dukhan. Is this from the Sunnah? That is, are there any specific Surahs that we’ve been told to recite on Thursday night? Pls specify…
