A person praying behind the Imam had to recite Surah Al-Faatihah slowly (he has a sore throat) and could not finish it until, say, the Imam started to go into Sujud. If the person did Ruku, then stand up, (doing everything that’s obligatory and did not ‘touch and go’) and then caught the Imam in Sujud, can he just continue praying behind the Imam as normal without having to do anything else?

Is it allowed for a person to give a whole cow if she has a baby boy or girl in the Aqeeka ? As in our country none likes to eat lamb or sheep . What is the ruling in that please …

It is permissible to offer a cow, however you will have to offer 2 for a boy and 1 for a girl. It would be more economic and closer to the sunnah to slaughter two sheep or goats.

At time of isha prayer, dinner is served, but a person or two is not hungry and wants to pray first, also the wife wants to come along with the husband to the masjid. Is it correct if they pray first then come and eat or was it wrong for them to leave dinner which served and go pray, also if the wife wants to come to the masjid with the husband, can she be refused to come to the masjid?

If he is not hungry or eager to eat, he should go to the masjid first! As for the woman, it is best for her to pray home but if she wants to go, this is permissible and he should not prevent her unless there is a valid excuse!

Please how can a person who is impure from major impurity such as menstruation perform the salatul istikharah if the decision cannot wait till after she’s pure or can another person do it on her behalf?

She can do it simply as supplication. It is not permissible to be prayed by another person.

This is recommended if she prays alone or with a group of women.

When I read sahih bukhari I came up with some hadeeth that prophet (sal)prayed 2 rakhas after Asar prayer.hadeeth no 564,565,566,567 Volume1,Book10,No 565: Narrates Hisham’s father: ‘Aisha (addressing me) said,”O son of my sister! The Prophet never missed two prostrations (i.e. Rakat) after the ‘Asr prayer in my house.” I also read its forbidden to pray after asar! It is confusing

This was a speciality for the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam and in another hadeeth by Umm Salama, she asked him if we would do the same and he didn’t allow it.

Please tell me if I prayed and there was an object with face on it which I completely forgot about nearby, (on my side out of my sight where i was praying) will my prayer be accepted inshAllah. I am aware ideally there should be no images around.

You prayer is valid in sha Allah, but you should cover up such things in the future.

As we live in USA ,here the friday khutba is done in English.. what is the rule in Islam regarding this, that is Friday khutba can be done in English ..Please do let us know

This is permissible as this is the language that the people understand! However, the imam must say the shahadah in Arabic and at least, recite one ayah and one hadeeth and praise Allah.

Can a boy’s aqiqah be 2 goats, 2 cows, 1 goat + 1 sheep, 1 sheep + 1 cow (so the meat will be enough for guests), 2 camels, or any other combination?

It is an issue of Dispute! I believe that it is permissible to slaughter two animals whether two Rams or two of a cow or a camel.

A guy, whose house is too far from masjid, distance covers about 4 km, he can’t hear the Adhan, but he’s intention is highly to pray in masjid.. Though he prays 5 daily prayers alone at home , as their family does not pray with him in congregation , In this case his prayers are acceptable? Is it valid if he prays alone?
