when we wipe over socks in wudu,we wipe up the top of the socks up until the shin, up to the ankles? what is meant wipe the top of the socks is to start wiping from toes until the shin, the shin is an area below the knees?

You should wipe the top surface of the sock, from the toes till the beginning of the leg just by the ankles.

Someone said sacrificing animals on Eid uz Zuha helps one to cross Pul Sirat on Day of Judgement easily. Is it true?

Not as far as I know. This is baseless.

Sorry to mention one important thing in my previous email. For example my brother and myself bought one cattle for sacrifice by 70,000 taka. I have given 40,000 and he has given 30,000. That means I have bought 4 names and he bought 3 names. Even though I have more than 4 family members. So should I give only four name from my family? Or names doesn’t require at all? Both of us want to put parents name. Please enlighten me from Quran and sunnah.

One share in that cattle is sufficient for you, your deceased parents and all those who live under your roof and eat from your food!

If a woman wears a khimaar whilst praying salaah, which is apparently not see-through; but when carefully looked, one can see the woman’s neck through the khimaar; will her salaah be invalid (because of her wearing a khimaar which is somewhat see-through)?

Is it recommend to sacrifice an animal separately for spouse on eid Al adha .Alhamdullilah I have the means to do so.please advise what is mustahab, to include her name in the animal I have arranged for my self or arrange a separate animal

The sunnah is to slaughter one sacrifice for the whole family.

When one is travelling and joins maghrib with isha when does one pray witr does it have to be after the normal ishaa time or before the ishaa time?

If one combined isha to Maghreb, he can pray witr, even if the Isha athan was not called yet.

i was born a Muslim, but i have recently started practising, and started to pray on time. To my disbelief i have uncovered that depending on which school of teaching you conform to, the timing of each prayer changes. If for example if I go now to pray Asr prayer, I check the laptop and there are 4 respectable/trustworth sites All Stating Different times? What should i do :(

Follow the methodology of Umm Al Qura Calendar or calculation.

My class duration is such that i miss the salah in jamah but i dont miss the prayer time, only the jamah so can i pray alone in this case after the class and will i be sinful?

This is permissible. However, it would be best if you can pray with someone else to make a congregation.

Our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) he made isha salah 11 raka since i do 11 raka 4 fard 2 sunnah 2 nafil finally 3 rakah witr so Am I doing correct or not I don’t know why I am confused and i thing I am not correct kindly help me .

The Prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam used to pray 11 Rakah of night prayer plus the 4 of Ishah and the two of voluntary Rakah.

Is ones Salāh still accepted if the masjid is not far from him but he decides to pray at home?
