I was doing magrib prayer: Before thasleem i got doubt that whether 3rd rakaha or 2nd rakaha.i did thasleem .and did 2 forgetfulness sajada and thasleem again. Am i correct? And how to get rid of waswas it is disturbing me alot

If you felt that most likely you have prayed three Rakah, your prayer is valid! But if you were totally confused and was not sure or didn’t have any inclination, you must add another Rakah.

How should i sit in position between two prostrations? In your apps you described in Prophet’s Prayer it is permissible to sit on heels. But what is recommended, to sit on heels or sit on left leg and right foot is upright? What about touching both heels as you mentioned, if I touch both heels my toes no longer place in ground and state towards qibla except thumb. Suggest me what to do.

Sitting on both heels is disputed upon! The best thing is to avoid it! Not pointing the toes towards the qibla is permissible and sitting in this way is not from the sunnah but it is not prohibited either!

In the middle of two prostrations, we recite supplication, e.g. ‘Rabbighfirli Rabbighfirli’. Is it required to recite this in the middle of the two prostrations of forgetfulness? If yes, would it be considered Sunnah or Wajib? Please clarify.

In the past, my parents and I combined our prayers when there was not a real need. Do we have to make up all of these prayers? I cannot exactly remember how many there were.

No, you don’t have to make them up, but you have to pray in the right way after you have found out the correct ruling.

Dear Sheikh, does that mean that if a person does any deed like dhikr or giving sadaqah etc whilst he is not offering salah, will get no reward for his good actions?

If he doesn’t pray at all, Allah might reward him for his good deeds in this life but on the day of judgment, he will go to hell for eternity and his good deeds will all be turned into thin air!

Some scholars say it is only one prayer! Others say that a person needs to abandon prayers totally in order to be labeled as a kafir.

My family and I watched numerous of your videos and browsed your website for numerous matters. May Allah give you even more knowledge so you can share. Sheikh, I need one clarification. If someone enters the masjid for Jummah, sit down quietly waiting for the khutbah to start and if a brother comes, say Assalamualaikum to this brother who is sitting down quietly, does the brother need to reply to the salam loudly? Please let me know.

Yes, you should reply loudly as the prohibition is only while the Imam is giving his sermon.

In our village people do so many biddah, l am planning to request a teacher who can teach quran with translation and explain the meaning. This teacher has to go by bus in our place. I want to know if I can give her my zakat money so she can teach the ladies and children and in the same time can support her family. The people who will come for study i want to spend my zakat money for their food so they will come to learn the truth about islam. This teacher has studied from Scholar Nighat Hashemi.

Zakat can’t be given for such a purpose!

Ya Sheikh! My brother wants to have his son’s Aqeeqah in my walimah. He’s going to pay for the sacrifice and I’m going to pay for the rest of the feast. Is it OK to combine both the things together while both of us spending our share of money. (Invitation will be of Walimah only and the feast of Aqeeqah will be served as an additional item).
