I live in Hongkong and the 9th day of Dhul hijjah (Arafah) will be on 21~8~2018 here In sha Allah but on the same date Saudi Arabia will be celebrating Eid. I know Muslims are not allowed to fast on the day of Eid. So whom should I follow saudi Arabia or Hk time table ? I’m confuse how can be the day of arafah be different.

You must follow your local people and observe the day of arafah and eid according to the authorized local Islamic authorities, regardless of Saudi Arabia.

just wanted clarity regarding qurbani. Do I have to do a share for the prophet PBUH? I would like to do a share for me one for my daughter one for my son and one for my deacesed father?

ANSWER: Including the Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) in your Qurbani is an innovation as he is already credited whenever his Ummah follows the Sunnah. No problem in including the deceased in your own sacrifice. can we give kurbani on behalf of dead people?

If one forgets exactly when the money reached the nisaab, when should one give Zakaat? I think the nisaab reached in the month of September, but don’t know the exact date.

ANSWER: If you forgot the date of zakat, you must try to estimate it and deduct few weeks or days just to be safe. You must appoint that date in the Hijra calendar.

If a man prays topless (without a shirt on or anything) but he covers his awrah from the naval to the knee, is his salaah still valid?

ANSWER: One must not stop praying even his prayers will not be accepted in case he consumes intoxicants, because he will become a kafir if he doesn’t pray!

There is a girl, she is firm in her tawheed practises Islam, follows sunnah, and directs others towards sunnah and tawheed, she saves herself from bid’at, she tries hard to save herself form backbiting, but she only prays fardh.. and 12 sunnah recommended in a day.. sometimes she skips due to his work.. some sunnah form these. What can we say?she is in guilt?

ANSWER: As long as she is praying her fard on time, she is not sinful and is on the right track as the sunnah prayers are not a “must’ for the validity of the 5 daily prayers. She would get more reward if she maintains and observes the sunnah though.

In Jummah, when the imaam begins the khutbah, the people sit with their arms folded (right hand over the left wrist) just like in salah. When the imaam sits and stands up to give the second part of the khutbah, people put their hands on their knees (just like in tashahhud) Is there any bases for this or an innovation? And lastly how should one sit during a khutbah?
