Is it Kufr that some Muslims say that Allah CANNOT die or CANNOT oppress, as Allah says He is All-Capable? In a website, I saw that the writer wrote that it is not permissible to say “CANNOT” because it sets a limit to Allah’s Capabilities. They say that rather one should say “He DOES NOT oppress and not that He CANNOT because He can oppress.”

I have a book that has Allah’s name, meaning and different application, for eg Al-Muqit, below the name is written that who ever recites the name into glass of water, and give the water to a bad mannered child to drink, he will have good manners. Same is with all the names, so is it an innovation?

I have been looking in Sheikh ibn Uthaymeen’s Al-Qawaa`id Al-Muthlaa to find name Al-Badi but I couldn’t find it but in surah Baqarah 2:117 بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَإِذَا قَضَى أَمْراً فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ mentioned ‘Badi’ based on this Can I affirm Al-Badi as a name of Allah?

Does Allah feel sad because we disobey Him for example her mother would feel sad when her loving son disobeys her because this hurts her feelings. is it the same case with Allah?

Allah, The Almighty, is not like anything we know of! It is not permissible to describe Allah with any kind of attributes unless He or His Messenger has described Him with. Sadness can’t be attributed to Allah.

Are the verses related to attributes of Allah like hands,throne of Allah,face etc included in Muhakamat or Mutashabihat? What is the ruling on taking their meaning?

These verses are muhkamat. We know what it means and it has a meaning that all people understand but we don’t know the “how” of such attributes and hence we believe in it as it is.

There is a post circulating these days claiming that it’s beneficial to use Allah’s names to cure particular disesases/pains. For ex. calling on him using the name AL-Jabbar for thyroid condition and As-Sami for ear pain etc…is there any basis for this in the Sunnah or Hadith? Kindly elaborate…

According to a saheeh hadeeth, “Allaah has ninety-nine names. Whoever counts them will enter Paradise.” However there are more than 99 known names of Allah in the Quran and Sunnah. A friend mentioned that “One” may be improper to translate “Ahad” (in context of the Tawheed of Allah). No, these are Allah’s actions and can be His creation and that is not Allah’s attributes! Allah’s attributes are those that Allah is described by such as might, creation, hearing, seeing, generosity, mercy etc.

Sheikh I have heard that using the word ‘OMG'(Oh My God) is not permissible. Is it so??
