Sheikh, can we trim our nails during menses? Bcoz some of my relatives say that we can’t trim our nails before taking purity ghusl.

ANSWER: What they say is absolutely baseless and fabricated. No problem at all in cutting your nails or hair during menses.

Thank you for advising me to read surah mulk before going to bed to save from grave torment, if i am on my period, can I read it from my mobile and also do I need to be in state of wodhu in order to read it.

ANSWER: You can definitely read this while in menses and no need to be in the state of wudu for doing the Adhkars.

I want to ask question about my purity unsureness i have been menstruating and last night my menstruation finished at isha time i saw the white discharge after my work im unsure as to when it finished so i prayed both maghreb and isha is my prayer valid or should i pray fajr dhuhr asr maghreb and isha?

I want to ask that either it is mandatory clean pubic hair after periods and before taking ghusal? because i have heard that the ghusal is not done if we don’t clean hair after periods.

ANSWER: This is baseless as both of these things are separate and not connected with each other. It is mandatory to remove pubic and armpit hairs within 40 days regardless of when your period ends.

I understand that we should not recite Quran when on periods but what about reciting for example Surah Mulk every night and Surah Kahf every friday which we recite regularly. Should we leave this too? and please guide about the zikr we do every morning and evening it too has some Quranic Surahs and ayah al kuri which is actually from the Quran. Are we allowed to read these?

ANSWER: You MUST NOT leave any of these worship while in menstruation. The only prohibition is in praying salah and fasting and touching the Qur’an with bare hands during menstruation, other than that you must do all kinds of Dhikr and recite the Quran as well.

Can woman in their menses recite Surah IKHLAS before going to bed? I heard that they can, but instead of beginning with “Qul huwa Allahu ahad” they should begin “huwa Allahu ahad”

ANSWER: Women in their menses can recite all the adhkar without any problem. What you have heard is absolutely baseless and fabricated! You must recite all the surahs normally.

I offer tahajjud salah daily Alhamdullaih I get peace when I prsotate & all difficulty &pain goes away but when am on my periods & dont pray & dont prostrate on the ground for my Rabb & make duwa I feel like really depressed is there any way out or can prostrate even when I am not praying during tahujjed ATLEAST & make duwa??though i keep my tongue moist with dhir??during periods too!!

ANSWER: Making prostration outside Salah to do dua is not permissible as it’s an innovation.

I have a problem with determining purity after menses. When the flow of blood stops I don’t see dryness or a white thread or discharge. When I wipe I see brown discharge which gets lighter over time and this lasts for a couple of days after the blood. My period usually lasts 7 days but I’m confused about this. JazakAllah
