If the job in bank help or deals with riba or the Shariah board is not doing its job properly but rather it is just a front, if this is the case, take the other job.

, If a person is facing some serious financial crisis and needs immediate job in this case is this permissible for him to work in a bank (riba based)? and if that person hates bank job also but doing it just because of compulsion.

I am currently in America and I am not a citizen yet. I am working in a restaurant. I was told its the only job available for people with no papers. I know working in a restaurant is haram in islam but I wanted to know how it is in my case if its permissible or not.

It is not permissible to work there if they sell alcohol and haraam products.

I work in a company where entrepreneurs are given loans for business and I prepare their project reports without which they can’t get loan facility as it is considered to be an essential document for securing finance. I want to know whether my job is halaal or haraam? And in case its haram, can I continue working here till I get another job or I should quit? Is it permissible to use the salary which I have saved since I was not knowing about it being haraam earlier. So can I spend that salary on myself till I get another job?

This is not halal as you are facilitating them to get such a major sin and you are part of it. You should stop immediately. Yes, you can spend the money you saved.

I work for a charity organisation in the UK and every year they do a “Christmas Toy Appeal”. Other companies donate toys and then these are distributed to destitute families with young children. I was given the responsibility to arrange which families should receive the toys, but I want to know was it permissible for me to take part in this?

What is the ruling concerning teaching fitness classes with music? A sister who has become a full time student of knowledge is considering to start to work again as fitness instructor, which she has been doing for the past 15 years, before she converted to Islam, and teach classes with music. (That type of classes can’t be taught without music.)

This is not permissible as music is haram in Islam and working in a gym that reveals women’s awrah is prohibited as well.

I have given 5000000 to someone to do business with this money. He buys land then sell it with profit. He made a deal that he will take 20% from this profit for working while I do nothing and he gives me profit every following year. This is has loss sometimes and sometimes profit is high. Is this permissible?

This is permissible as you don’t judge people’s intentions and you are not obliged to interrogate them as long as the service itself is permissible.

I was working in an organization which was dealing with riba. I informed my parents about it and I told them I am resigning but they didn’t allow me to do so. But as I know riba is a major sin I resigned without letting my parents know. So here I wanted know was I supposed to ask them again as I know they won’t allow me to do so?

You do not need their permission to quit your haram job.

I wanted to ask a question specifically based on the business I do which is online selling of jewellery. I currently sell a product which is a pet urn (cremation pendant for pets) where customers can store the ashes of theirs pets, I’m not actually taking part in any of the actual burning of any ashes, I am wondering if it is permissible of me to sell or not?
