If there is a death in a nearby neighbours’ house and there is still time like 2-3 hours fr da funeral prayer 2 b offered, is there any problem if I take up my food? Becuz smone told me u cant have food if BEFORE you offer funeral prayer as a mark of respect?

If someone’s husband or father dies a week before eid,the family are sad and do not wish to wear new clothes and observe eid or cook any good food etc is this correct as it becomes like mourning Please refer a hadeeth so i can tell them the importance and signigicance of celebrating eid. Also the case of the widow she has mourning 4 months 10 days but she can celebrate eid with her children?

It can be read anytime but the point is to have as many worshippers as possible offering the funeral prayer as it is an intercession for the deceased and the more there are worshippers, the better it is for him.
