Shaykh, i have difficulty at the moment doing Rafa yadain with tranquillity because it comes it to my mind that I am showing off and doing minor shirk, this is because ever since I’ve been young I’ve always thought doing it always looked better, the only reason I do it cos I know it’s the Sunnah but these little doubts creeping in to say I’m doing it show off, is this minor shirk

ANSWER: Once you open the door for Satan with such justifications, he will ruin your life and force you leave praying completely for the fear of showing off! Instead, keep on always observing the sunnah and raising your hands to anger him and to make his plans fail.

Sheikh If we forget to say rabbighfir li…between the two prostrations does it require him to do the prostration of forgetfulnes? It is mentioned in some islamic studies school book that this is one of the obligatoryacts in prayer.

while praying the namaz behind imam in masjid is it obligatory to repeat the rakah if we join in the ruku.

ANSWER: If you and the Imam were in the ruku position at the same time, this is a valid Rakah.

Is it permissible to make dua in the end of our fard salah when offered in congregation(jamaat) this only delays saying of salam to both sides by 1-2 minutes after imam said salam(to conclude prayer)

ANSWER: One minute is a lot! You can delay it for 20 or 30 seconds but not for too long!

Some old men raise their pants above stomach, as a result the pant seems to be hugging private part while doing sujood. If they consider that lowering the pant is todays fashion and don’t want to do it, how can we advice thm in this regard?

ANSWER: No need to advise them if they are comfortable in wearing that way. One must not wear tight trousers but the prayers are valid

Shaykh, we have two Jumu’ahs near my workplace, which one is better: To pray the first Jumu’ah even though I will be outside and will not hear any of the khutbah at all I will simply just pray the two rak’ahs, or pray the second jumu’ah inside the masjid and be able to listen to the entire khutbah?

ANSWER: There must not be two Friday prayers in the same masjid. Pray with the first congregation

Brother, during the Umra one has to do full salat or will shorten it if come from outside KSA i.e India? Can we perform sunnah/ extra salat or Tahajjud during Umra if stay in Mecca or Madinah?

ANSWER: If you’re praying in congregation, behind the Imam then you must follow him and pray in full. You can pray voluntary prayers and night prayers except for thuhur, Maghreb and Isha voluntary prayers.
