My colleague asked me a question that if a person has money in his pocket with different pictures attached on the currency notes i.e., in indian rupee the picture of Gandhi was affixed. is that salah is valid with the money in his pocket containing the picture.

We know that there are 17 units of prayer that are obligatory (فرض) in one day. 2 in fajr 4 in zuhr 4 in asr 3 in maghrib 4 in Isha . What if a person prays only these 17 units?? Will he be asked about the remaining (Sunnah) units which he didn’t prayed??

Sunnah is not obligatory so one is not sinful for not praying them. However, you will lose a great deal of reward for not praying it and also your Fard prayers have a lot of errors in them that are only compensated by sunnah prayers!

When reciting a surah in the middle of the salah if I forget an ayah, and I get stuck and I don’t remember the next ayah, shall I take time to remember it or start the same surah from the beginning, or I start another surah or I leave the ayah and I read as much as I remember the rest of it?
