ANSWER: I personally believe that this is not permissible. One shouldn’t enjoy their celebrations as he will eventually believe that this is permissible.

Shaikh what is the ruling on raising hands for dua in jumuah khutbah. Are we supposed to raise our hands during istighfar in between the two khutbahs and the dua made by imam at the end of second khutbah. Kindly explain.

ANSWER: One should not raise one’s hands when making duaa during the Friday khutbah except in the case the Imam makes Duaa for rain.

Is it permissible to do sujood anytime other than salah to seek closeness to allah subhana wa taala?

sheikh In kolkata(India) on entering evry masjid ppl wear the kufi for congreg. Salah & they take it off on leaving the masjid..one day I prayed without topi knowng that its bidah wht theyr doing..then i was the odd one out.Prophet(SAW) said dont stand out from a crowd..so i also started wearing.wht shud i do? ANSWER: No problem in standing out in these situations as what they’re doing is an innovation by thinking that your prayer is invalid without covering the head.

Is dua in congregation allowed i.e. the imam says the dua and all of the surrounding people say ameen?

My sister follows the hanafi madhab and she insists on wearing hijab 24-7 including at home, because she says angels are shy of hair and they will not want to be around you if your hair is uncovered. Is there any basis for this in the quran and sunnah?

ANSWER: This is absolutely baseless and what she is doing is an innovation.

Is it permissible to hold a gathering for reading Quran, where everyone only reads the Arabic of Quran, very fast, no one understands the meaning of it. And it’s the goal to complete all 30 sections of Quran? After this people sit and talk about random things, eat food. In addition they consider this action will bring good luck or it will bring blessing.

Usually when I visit madina, some of my friends, family members asked to convey their salam to our beloved Prophet (SAWS). My question is 1) Can I convey, is it permissible? 2) how can i convey, by taking my friends name when in madina?? 3)Does it reach to Prophet (SAWS)??
