No problem in standing out in these situations as what they’re doing is an innovation by thinking that your prayer is invalid without covering the head. 

sheikh In kolkata(India) on entering evry masjid ppl wear the kufi for congreg. Salah & they take it off on leaving the masjid..one day I prayed without topi knowng that its bidah wht theyr doing..then i was the odd one out.Prophet(SAW) said dont stand out from a crowd..so i also started wearing.wht shud i do? Wear or not(then ill be only on praying bareheaded )&stand out frm rest
