Have a LOT of old clothes 2 give away Alhumdulillah. They r taking up too much space n cluttering d house. Bt cannot giv them away bcoz of wot u said: 1. Pictures on them (I tried painting, it’s exhausting n didn’t work) 2. Female clothes hv hijab issues lik short sleeves etc. Can female clothes b given away by asking d person to not wear it infront of non-mehram? If not,wot 2 do?

ANSWER: Do not give away the ones with photos. As for the females dresses, you can give it away and assume that the poor accepting it would wear it in front of their husbands.

Is it haram to keep photos of us framed on the walls in the house? Even if there are no photos infront of us while praying? But just keeping only for the sole purpose of beautification and decor.

ANSWER: This is not permissible at all as Prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam forbade this as this blocks the angels from entering your house.

Is it halal to make animated characters for animated tv shows for kids? For example; Disney characters.

I always see people taking pictures of graves or them visiting the grave. Sheik isn’t this wrong to take pictures of the deceased you know and the others buried around them?

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to take or keep pictures of the deceased. There is no problem in taking photos of a cemetery or a graveyard.

I want to know whether I can buy a bike on which there is a logo of a horse ,the actual logo is the outline shape of the horse there is No3 factial features on it like nose ears and mouth but still u can say that it’s a horse and it’s size is about a hands span

ANSWER: If it is a 2D image without facial features, this is permissible. But if it is 3D, this is a statue and it must be removed or covered.

If there are pictures in the room, does it affect the blessings/barakaah in the prayer? How does it affect it exactly?

ANSWER: This reduces the reward as angels don’t enter such a room.

In our country(Democratic) the government is making sculptures of the founding father of our country. The Islamic Scholars are opposing it.But, the government says that in Islam idols are prohibited, not sculptures to which we don’t pray to.And they give examples of Muslims country like Saudi Arabia as they also have sculptures. What is your opinion?

ANSWER: No problem in this as it’s just a print of the animal skin and it has no images of the animal itself.

What if newspapers contains pictures of people and idols,etc and a person’s mother used it in kitchen racks and kept utensils, container on it? If Some pictures are hidden some are visible, what to do? shud all utensils removed?
