I know that your prayer isnt valid if you are wearing a shirt that has any drawing of a person on animal on it, but what if my scarf or abaya covers the shirt. Will my prayer be accepted?

ANSWER: This is not true. The prayer is valid but one is sinful. Wearing the abaya on top of it covers it but one shouldn’t be owning such clothes, let alone wearing it in the 1st place.

Is using bitmoji permissible, especially for sisters? It is an app that allows you to create a character that resembles you. Does this come under imitating the creation of Allah? Or any other emoji that resemble living creatures?

What is the ruling on using children’s Islamic books which contain animated cartoons of animals,humans,nature, non-living things,etc?There are many books by Darussalam publications,Goodword,IIPH,& more which contain cartoons pictures in kids’ books to create interest and for educational purpose.Is one allowed to sell these books or can one give these to kids?

on my dress there is a small embroided butterfly, i did’nt realize before & perform salat in that dress. when i came to know i stop, but my question its just a design of butterfly & only one is there. so can i pray in this dress or not.please guide

ANSWER: If there is no head or face, this is permissible.

We know that hanging photographs in the house is not permissible. But what about the pictures of humans or animals on food items? For example there is pictures of animals on Hot Sauce bottle or on Cereal boxes. Should we do something about them or leave it the way it is?

I have read talking to photos is shirk if we talk to photos of the living or even dead without the believe they can hear it ? If We talk just to satisfy ourselves ?How is talking to photos shirk? Can it be not considered as vain talk ?

Keeping photos of the deceased is prohibited. Talking to photos is not logical whether living or dead and can be an act of shirk if you think they can actually hear you!

I have creams in my dressing table having very small pictures of faces can i pray there or should i remove creams from there? I heard that if the pictures are too small on room we can pray there

Yes you can pray there, also you can remove those pictures either by scratching them or painting over it.

Sheikh,A friend of mine has been a student of Digital Media and Arts,lately he’s been hesitant in carrying his work as a cartoonist since he got to know from someone of his profession being haram in the light of religion. Is working as an animator or a cartoonist permissible in Islam?
