ANSWER: Ask them , and in case they use the same equipments then this is not permissible, but if not no problem to eat there, though I recommend that you don’t.

In India non Muslims woship their idols and offer them the food as prasad and then sometimes offer us. Is it permissible to eat sweets or something which they first offer to their gods? Some scholars says it is haram to eat food on which Allah’s name is not taken. If it is so then the things we buy from market can be haram too.

ANSWER: As long as the food is halal and you are not participating with them in their celebrations, this is permissible.

I know in the Quran we learn that seafood is halal for us, but recently someone mentioned that basa fish may be haraam. I did a Google search which says: Eat any fish that has scales, and do not eat what does not have scales.” Imam Al-Baqir (a.s.) the claim is that basa fish has scales and so it is not permissible to eat. Can you clarify?

In a hadith Qudsi the prophet said at alhudaibiya it rained that day and Allah said one became a believer and one became a disbeliever cos 1 said the rain was a virtue and mercy of Allah while the other said it rained cos of such such a star so shall we believe in weather forecast for tomorrow and the next day?

ANSWER: No problem as the weather forecast uses calculations and pictures from the satellite to determine what the weather could be like and this is not the same as fortune telling.
